As the years go by, new members will look at the pictures of past Lone Oak bands but they will not see the fun, excitement, and hardships of those years. Let not the past be forgotten by the future.

  • Drew Burchett (Andy) (Trombone, 1987)

  • Matthew Butterfield (Butters, Butter, Butterfield, Butterball, Butternut, Butterfinger, Fireball) (Tuba/Band Captain, 2003-2004)
Good luck to all the participants in this year's season. Have a great time and enjoy every part of program, even the "hard times"!

  • Gary Crisp (Band Director 1976-84, 1984)
Former band director 1976-84. Worked with Bob Singleton, Ron Cowherd and Kaye Holland. Congratulations and your past accomplishments!! Best wishes in the future. Annelle and I remember our Lone Oak years fondly.

  • Kris Dunkerson (DUNK) (Baritone, 2003)
    It's cold up here!

  • Gary Feather (Trumpet/Baritone, 1972-76)

  • Shannon Fuller (Tuba, 1984)
Thanks to Gary Crisp for the discipline and instruction on punctuality (Crisp Standard Time). It is great to see that the tradition of excellence is still alive.

  • Bryan Garner (Tuba, 1999)

  • Daniel Green (Paco/Zanitos) (Baritone, 2001)
The future is rarely ever what you plan in the begining. However, the choices that you make WILL affect you later in life. No matter now miniscule (small) they may seem at the present. You future is shaped from the descisions of your past. Make them good ones and reep the benifits...or suffer the consequesnces....I end this with one of my favorite quotes "Every man dies.....Not every man really lives."

  • Doug Harper (Tenor and Bariton Sax/Field Commander, 1978)

  • Ellen Harris (Carmichael) (trombone, 1993)
Lone Oak has always had an exceptional Band program. I will always have great memories from my years there. I am sure low brass still rules!

  • Jamey Jennings (Tuba, 1990)

  • Kevin Johnson (Asst DM/ trombone, 1977)
I marched 4 years in The Phantom Regiment, was an instructor for the Spirit of Atlanta, flew the President of the USA, saved lots of retiring greyhounds, was a Captain flying a jet when I was 32 years old, and have been married 25 years in December. I could have really become someone if my middle school science teacher Nancy Logan hadn't damaged me for life. Thank God for Kent Ransdell, Jim Wren, Jim Ott, and the rest of the fine people who I have had the pleasure of meeting. Nancy Logan--KMA!!!

  • Will Jones (Trombone, 1987)

The years I spent in the band created some of my fondest memories from high school. It pains me to see the band diminishing to so few students. When I was in school, the band won all the awards and had the highest participation, NOT the football team! I also hate that we are counting down to the end of Lone Oak High as we know it as we all merge to become the McCracken County Mustangs! BAH! Anyway, I have 2 beautiful children, Kalel and Kinsey, and am doing 2 things that I love most in the world...Medical Massage Therapy and Scentsy Wickless Candles. (www.brandiorenduff.scentsy.com) Just lovin life while Im here to live it! Keep in touch everyone!

  • Richard Petty (Band Director, 1967)
GOOD LUCK AT GRAND NATIONALS. WE ARE PROUD OF YOU.

  • John Presley (Trombone, 2000)

  • David Reid (Trombone, 2002)
I am a student pursuing a degree in Music Education. Only 4 classes left!!!

  • Victor Resnick (Trombone, 1995)

  • David Robinson (Alto/Baritone Sax, 1995)

  • Harold Rushing (Todd) (Tenor Sax/Sousaphone, 1993)
Keep up the good work Colonels!!

  • Brian Shelton (Tuba, 1992)
Congratulations on an outstanding program the past several years. I always look forward to seeing Lone Oak perform!

  • Thomas Sherron (Tom / Tommy) (Trombone, 1968)
My band experience was a life changing & rewarding experience. It was a tremendous confidence builder & it taught disipline and teamwork. I now play every Sunday in our church orchestra; I've done this for about 25 years. My band years have provided great memories of High School at Lone Oak.

  • Casey Strong (Tuba/ Drum Major, 2004)
Good Luck to all Colonels. It is an amazing feeling to be a part of this program. Continue your hard work and it WILL pay off. Congrats!!!
